Rechargeable Hearing Aids
Are you tired of your hearing aid batteries running out unexpectedly? Modern, rechargeable hearing aids are growing in popularity – and for good reason too. Just place your hearing aid in the charging station when you go to bed, and they are ready to use when you wake up in the morning. What’s more – rechargeable hearing aids mean that you don’t have to buy battery replacements or continue throwing away used batteries, which is beneficial for both your wallet and the environment at the same time.
Hearing Aid Payment Plan Options
It is our goal to ensure that every client receives the very best digital hearing aid technology as recommended by your hearing healthcare professional. That’s why we offer two financing options that help make an investment in better hearing both easy and affordable for your individual needs and budget.
Hearing aid prices range from $995 to $4,000 per ear (or from $28 to $111 per month), which is determined by sound quality and processing features along with client’s severity of hearing loss and lifestyle.
How much you decide to spend on a hearing aid will depend on your individual hearing condition, cosmetic preference, and your budget. Our professional staff will assist in you choosing the right hearing aid to meet your individual needs.
Get started today by booking a complimentary consultation at any of our 12 Robillard Hearing Centres locations throughout Ottawa and Eastern Ontario.
3-Month 0% Financing
If you prefer short-term, interest-free financing rather than one full payment upfront, make one payment at your hearing aid fitting appointment followed by three post-dated cheques payable before the 90-day satisfaction period is complete.
The payment intervals are as follows:
- First payment: Due at hearing aid fitting appointment plus three post-dated cheques.
- Second payment: Due 30 days after your fitting appointment.
- Third payment: Due 60 days after.
- Fourth payment; due 90 days after.
1 to 5 Year Low-Interest Financing
Our 1 to 5 year low-interest financing is ideal for clients who need more than 3 months to pay for their hearing aids. Make one 10% deposit at your hearing aid fitting appointment, followed by a monthly, pre-authorized debit payment over the chosen term.
This financing is for both regular-priced and discounted orders from $1,000-$8,000 and is subject to an administrative fee. The interest rate increases with the loan term period.
There are no age restrictions, and as long as you have a good credit history, you will qualify on approval of credit.
Are Invisible Hearing Aids Right For You?
Choosing the right hearing can be a difficult process. There are many factors to consider, including desired features, your ear anatomy, specific lifestyle needs, budget, cosmetic appeal and more. Custom hearing aids, for instance, are a great choice right now as they won’t get tangled or pulled off when wearing or removing face masks.
Almost invisible hearing aids are discreet
Since modern hearing aids have become increasingly smaller with technological advancements, certain in-the-ear and behind-the-ear hearing aids are also more discreet than ever.
The best discreet hearing aids come in the following styles:
Completely-in-the-canal (CIC)
– Mild to moderate hearing loss
– One of the smallest hearing aids
– Invisible in most cases
In-the-canal (ITC)
– Mild to severe hearing loss
– Small, discreet size
– Bluetooth connectivity
Smaller receiver-in-the-ear sizes (known as miniRITE)
– Mild to severe hearing loss
– Rechargeable battery
– Smallest behind-the-ear hearing aid model
How much do invisible hearing aids cost?
The average price of an invisible hearing aid can vary between $1,000 to $4,000.
At first glance, hearing aids can seem expensive, but a closer look reveals that the benefits gained (such as improved quality of life and communication) outweigh the relatively low cost of wearing hearing aids all day every day.
To put this into perspective, over the course of 4 years for a $3,000 hearing aid, you can expect to pay about the same on a monthly basis as some people pay for their monthly internet and/or television subscriptions ($62.50).
Can you try invisible hearing aids for free?
Yes. You can receive a free trial for invisible hearing aids at any of our 12 locations. You will have the opportunity to take them home and use them within the trial period while you decide if they are right for you.
Are there invisible hearing aids available for all levels of hearing loss?
Yes. There are invisible hearing aids for severe hearing loss, moderate hearing loss, and mild hearing loss. Your type of hearing loss may impact which invisible hearing aid model your hearing care professional recommends as some are more suited for mild to moderate hearing loss (such as the invisible-in-the-canal hearing aid), and some are more suited for severe hearing loss, such as the half-shell and full-shell in-the-ear hearing aids.
Are invisible hearing aids effective?
Yes. Due to modern advancements in digital hearing aid technology, invisible hearing aids are just as effective as behind-the-ear hearing aids. It is important to note that each individual’s hearing loss is different. Therefore, while some users might experience more success with an invisible, in-the-ear hearing aid, others may experience more success from a behind-the-ear hearing aid. Book a free hearing test with a hearing professional to discuss which solutions might be the best fit for you.
How do invisible hearing aids work?
Invisible hearing aids are a form of small digital hearing aid which typically sit inside your ear so that they are invisible to the naked eye. In fact, modern hearing aids have decreased so much in size that even some behind-the-ear hearing aid models are virtually invisible as well.
Invisible hearing aids – just like other types of hearing aids – are made up of three parts: a microphone, an amplifier, and a speaker. Sounds are received through the hearing aid’s microphone, which then converts sound waves to electrical signals before sending them to the amplifier. The power of these signals is then increased by the amplifier and sent into the ear through the hearing aid’s speaker.

How many hours does it take to recharge the rechargeable hearing aids?
If the battery is completely drained, then the average charging time is around:
- 3-4 hours to reach full charge
- 1 hour to reach 50% charge
- 1/2 hour to reach 25% charge
Note that the loading time can depend on the age of the battery.
How do I know when the hearing aids are fully recharged?
The recharging process stops automatically when the battery is fully charged. On most hearing aids, the hearing aid has a small light which turns green when the battery is recharged.
How do I know when my battery needs to be recharged?
When the rechargeable hearing aid batteries are almost empty, the hearing aids send out a signal, which typically consists of three short beeps.
The signal indicates that there are about 2 hours of usage left before the hearing aids stop working. The warning sound is repeated every 30 min.
How long does my battery last before it needs to be recharged?
If your battery is fully charged, you can expect to wear your hearing aids all day. However, if you stream sound from another electronic device (such as the TV or your computer) for more than 8 hours, then you might have to recharge your hearing aids during the day
What Does It Mean?
How To Love My Ears
Why Should I Love My Ears?
We know for a fact that way too many people have a hard time accepting a hearing loss. Some ignore it for years. But no one should ever feel that hearing loss is something to be ashamed of. Instead, hearing loss should be seen as a testament to having lived an interesting life. Our ears have enabled our story.
But many of us reach a point where our ears need a little extra love and attention in order for us to continue living our best lives.
So, to focus people’s attention on hearing, we focus on the ears; the physical attribute of our hearing. Love Your Ears is a motivation. An encouragement not to compromise your mental and physical well-being. It breaks down barriers around ears and hearing and makes it natural – a matter of course – to care for them and get them tested regularly. It’s a mindset, that reflects our enthusiasm and devotion. It’s the relationship we believe everyone should have with their ears.
To love your ears is to be aware of the importance of your hearing and to feel motivated to care for it. That’s what we mean, when we tell you to love your ears.
We have devoted our entire professional lives to hearing. Our hope is that no one should have to go unnecessary through life with impaired hearing, when the solution can be rather simple: To love your ears.
So, how do I love my ears?
1. Well, for starters, take good care of them by protecting and shielding them from high noise exposure.
2. Pay attention to your hearing and have your ears tested annually once you reach the age of 60.
3. If you are already using hearing aids – make sure that you seek the necessary guidance to have them
properly fitted and adjusted. Not just when they are brand new – but on a regular basis, if necessary.
4. When your hearing aids have run their natural course, do make sure you come back to us to get a new and well-functioning pair.
To be aware of the importance of your hearing and feel motivated to care for it, is how you love your ears.
Hearing enables people to get the best out of life and each other. The best out of work. The best out of interests and passions.
Losing your hearing affects all of these aspects. Studies have demonstrated a clear link between hearing loss and cognitive decline. Specifically, people with moderate hearing loss are twice as likely to experience cognitive decline as their peers, while those with severe hearing loss face five times the risk.
That’s why we believe it’s our obligation to share our
knowledge and motivate people to act on their hearing.
Love Your Ears makes hearing a physical part of who we
are and turns people’s attention to hearing. And it actually helps, that most people have an at best ambivalent relation to their ears. To many it’s genuinely surprising to be told to love their ears. There is a friction. Why on Earth would I love my ears?
Because hearing-care is an act of self-care – it’s
prioritising your own wellbeing.
An act of self-love, really.
That is why we believe that you should Love Your Ears.
