Musician noise plugs are a great option for getting the exact amount of noise protection required, not only for Musicians, but other individuals who don’t need full noise protection from a solid noise plug. Auris Labs offer six different filters from two respected brands, with each filter having its own noise reduction rating (NRR) and attenuation characteristics at different frequencies.

ER Filters

Etymotic Research (ER) musician filters were first developed 25 years ago by Dr. Mead Killion, during a study for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. The results of Dr. Killion aided ER in producing musician filters that offer linear sound reduction, allowing music and speech to sound clear and natural. Auris Labs offer ER filters in 9, 15, and 26, which are interchangeable when different attenuations are required.
